Choose your side: X-Men or Brotherhood of Mutants?
In X-Men Destiny for the Nintendo Wii, you choose from three new mutants: Aimi Yoshida, Adrian Luca, or Grant Alexander. Each character has their own unique background and powers. While playing, I noticed that the choices you make, such as joining the X-Men or the Brotherhood of Mutants, really affect how the story unfolds. This makes the game interesting, but I felt that some choices had less impact than I had hoped.
Collecting "X-Genes" is an important part of the game. These genes allow you to enhance your mutant powers. For example, you can make your attacks stronger or improve your defence. In my opinion, the system is cleverly designed, but the execution sometimes feels a bit limited. It wasn't always clear which genes suited my playstyle best, which could be frustrating at times.
Although the game has some interesting ideas, I didn't always find it very exciting. The graphics and environments aren't particularly innovative, and the gameplay can feel repetitive. For a true X-Men fan, it can still be enjoyable to play, but I think there are better X-Men games out there that offer more variety and challenge.
