Is the Wii-Mote nostalgic and innovative? The Wii-Mote is the controller for the
Nintendo Wii. It's very light, wireless, and easy to use. This controller feels great in the hand and can be used both vertically and horizontally. However, the design is not new. The controller bears a striking resemblance to the old controller of the Nintendo Entertainment System (abbreviated as NES). As a child, I used that controller for all sorts of games. The current controller feels just as comfortable in the hand as it did back then.
Which games can you play with the Wii-Mote?In essence, you use the Wii-Mote for all games on the Wii, often in combination with the
Nunchuck. For some games, you only need the Wii-Mote (for example,
New Super Mario Bros), and you can also use it perfectly for NES games on the Virtual Console due to its resemblance to the NES controller mentioned earlier. Additionally, you can use it for various accessories. You can transform the Wii-Mote into a steering wheel (the Wii-
Wheel), a gun (the
Zapper), and even a
lightsaber for playing Star Wars games.
What is my opinion about the Wii-Mote?The Wii-Mote is a great controller. I enjoy using it, and the hand cramp factor with this controller is very low. When I use it for old NES games, it immediately brings back the nostalgic feeling of the retro games from the mid-80s to early 90s (before the SNES arrived) because I don't notice any difference between this controller and the original NES controller. Previous Nintendo controllers I played with (like the GameCube controller) were terrible, but by giving new life to an old classic, Nintendo has once again proven to me that they are far from being done!
