HOTD: Overkill a Worthy Sequel
The grind-house atmosphere, choice of multiple weapons, and a dose of humor make The House of the Dead: Overkill feel and play like a great on-rail shooter. Despite the changes compared to the older HOTD games, the game (fortunately) feels very familiar.
A nice detail in this game is that you can increase your score by activating multipliers. You do this by killing zombies without missing a bullet. This allows the game to be played in multiple ways. Will you go full throttle Rambo style or take it easy and aim for a sick score?
The game features quite large levels for an on-rail shooter, and after completing the story mode, there is still the director's cut. This mode includes slightly longer levels and more zombies.
If you're a fan of the old HOTD games, on-rail shooters, and blasting zombies, then you shouldn't miss out on this game.

Boost your score by not missing shots or getting hit in The House of the Dead: Overkill. Once you hit 25 zombies, you trigger Goregasm. This multiplier rewards you with 1000 points per zombie. But be careful, if you miss a shot, you'll lose your multiplier.
