Not for core gamers, poor graphics and slow gameplay.
A fun game, but not amazing.
The graphics are subpar, and the regular running/jumping sequences take away the speed that is crucial for Sonic!
This has been the case for a while at Sega and they really need to change something about it.
These types of games are for younger children, who don't pay as much attention to gameplay and graphics. Enjoyable, but not for the core gamers that Sonic and the Secret Rings is intended for! Cijfer:

Rapid Action, Takes Some Getting Used to Controls
This game is a lot of fun, although at times you might need to get used to the controls or the moves. Once you've got the hang of it, everything moves at lightning speed. Sometimes the speed can be a downside as it doesn't allow you to really explore the levels. Before you know it, you've zoomed past 100 cool things. In Sonic and the Secret Rings Cijfer:

Fun Sonic 3D Adventure with Mediocre Controls
Sonic and the Secret Rings is a fun 3D adventure featuring Sonic, but due to poor controls, this game can quickly become boring. The game is based on the tale of 1001 nights, where you play the game by holding the Wii-mote sideways, and when you lean to the right, Sonic does the same in the game! The controls are a nice concept but don't work very well in practice. Nonetheless, it's an enjoyable Sonic game with an interesting story and fun characters. Beautiful graphics and immersive action-adventure!
Sonic and the Secret Rings is a beautiful game! What I love about it is the mix of action and adventure! You really need to stay focused to play these games well (that's also the reason why I don't always succeed...) But I think Sonic games always look stunning! Disappointing Gameplay, Fun Party Mode
I bought this game on sale, but I can recommend that even if it's on sale: LEAVE IT. You can't walk yourself, there's really nothing exciting about it, and it gets boring quickly, pressing buttons occasionally is something anyone can do, I'd say. The only positive thing about this game is that it has a fun party mode, but come on, it's called Sonic and the Secret Rings, not Sonic Party. Cijfer:

Sonic the Hedgehog! And that says it all!
Fun! That was my first thought when it came to a Sonic game for the Wii. Years ago, I was used to Sonic the Hedgehog on the Genesis and thought they were great games back then.
Then came the innovation... Sonic and the Secret Rings! Finally, a new Sonic game! That was quite disappointing... The intro of the game looked graphically beautiful and the story definitely intrigued me, but that was the only nice thing about the game.

From the first level, I immediately didn't like it. You couldn't walk on your own, and had to redo many parts before you could progress. After that, everything happened so fast that I couldn't keep up with what was happening on the screen. I didn't get further than the second level in this game and then sold it via a marketplace.
If the new Sonic games for the Wii are all like this, I'd rather stick to playing games from the old days!!! Hide. Cijfer:

Too fast, lacks extras, but fun mini-games
I completed Sonic and the Secret Rings, but didn't find it fantastic.
It all went a bit TOO fast, causing you to miss out on all the extras. But that's usually to be expected with the speedy hedgehog.
The mini-game option offers some pretty funny mini-games, although they are simple and easy. All in all, I would still buy it if it's not too expensive.

Bad, bad, and a little bit good
I really think this game is a perfect example of a real flop. You can't do much with it, sometimes you can't even walk. Most parts of Sonic and the Secret Rings are pretty boring too. The only upside is the party mode, but that doesn't really elevate the rating of this game by much. Cijfer:

The game is fun with a nice storyline and good graphics. You also need to get used to the new 3D. Side scrollers were very different, usually a lot more fun. Now I do like this new style as well, but for example, you can't even run quickly! And the game is finished so quickly! I'm not sure if I should recommend it. Fairly boring
The game isn't terribly bad, but it's not really enjoyable either. It's a fantasy story, so you don't really see the characters as you know them, and it has little to do with Sonic anymore.
The whole game revolves around motion controls. Motion controls can be fun, but they don't work well for a complete game. You have to make very precise movements, and that doesn't always work.

Fun party games and challenging gameplay
Sonic and the Secret Rings is a lot of fun, but it's quite challenging. It takes some getting used to at first, but afterwards, it's pretty easy. And the Party games are really cool too!!
As you progress further into the game, you can also use TurboBoost and do other cool things! You'll also notice that your opponents become stronger and stronger.

Poor controls and fun party games
The party games in Sonic and the Secret Rings for the Nintendo Wii were amusing to me, but not really top-notch. I found the controls to be subpar; especially the motion controls didn't work as I had hoped. To unlock more moves, you have to complete the game, which I didn't find very enjoyable. Some missions were also not very clear, which was quite frustrating at times.
I did like the concept of the story. I actually only bought the game because it's a Sonic game. In the end, it was an okay game, but it could have been better. Cijfer:
