Sonic makes a colorful comeback!
Just as everyone is saying: the fast hedgehog is back! Sonic Colours not only offers fun gameplay but also beautiful backgrounds (and tasty ones too!), stunning graphics, and funny and/or enjoyable cutscenes. The new creatures called Wisps add to the fun with their cool power-ups. The bosses are creatively designed, making them unique.

Some bosses are a bit too easy, and the last few worlds have levels that can be frustrating. The controls sometimes don't respond, but it doesn't happen often enough to become a major issue. What can be quite annoying is that in most levels, you can't collect all the red rings in one go; you have to come back with the right power-up.

Despite that, Sonic Colours comes highly recommended for those who enjoy fast-paced platforming. It offers gameplay in both 2D and 3D.

Fun game with cool power-ups and a multiplayer mode
Sonic Colours may seem like a fun game at first glance, and it truly is. Finally, SEGA has outdone itself in creating a fantastic Sonic game with a bit of edge to it. This time, thankfully, no slow werewolf but some fast-paced power-ups. The fun bonus is that you can also race through a level with your friend as Sonic (or as your Mii character).

Speed is back!
In previous Sonic games, the true speed of our well-known blue hedgehog was nowhere to be found. Whether it was due to speeding up/slowing down time (Sonic and the Secret Rings), complicated sword fights (Sonic and the Black Knight), or transformations into a powerful yet slow version of our hero (Sonic Unleashed), it all led to the same result: the speed was completely gone.

Not anymore! With Sonic Colours, the full speed finally returns to our hero, without being interrupted by unnecessary additions. And it feels great: although you now have to deal with Wisps, if you use these creatures wisely, they only contribute to even more speed. So hurry to the store: Sonic finally has a worthy successor once again...

Must have
YES! YES! HURRAY! No more Werehog Sonic! Just back to speed! Sonic Colours reminded me of Sonic Adventures for the Dreamcast, and that's a big plus point! I was tired of constantly stopping to hack and slash.... Now that I think about it, this is the first good Sonic game for the Wii! And it's in 3D too!... Well, sometimes there's a 3D section but then you can barely find Sonic on the screen and that's a shame, because that's the only downside I can think of =o.

Amazing speed, power-ups, and bosses!
Sonic Colors is an awesome Sonic game and exactly what you would expect: Speed, speed, and more speed!
The new power-ups (the aliens) that you can use are fantastic. Just like the bosses are amazingly well done.
Sonic Colors has fantastic graphics and great controls. So, a top-notch game and a real recommendation.

Sonic Colours
It's a fun game (for the Wii, that is) with secrets and locations, and you can play with up to 2 players. It's also cool that you can use your own Mii where your lower body is Sonic.
The only downside is that when playing together, you have to wait for each other all the time, otherwise the other player loses a life.
But for example, you'll enter a world where you often have to go underwater and explore the world of the Wisps.

Sonic back to its old level..
After many disappointments within the Sonic series, Sega finally shows a Sonic game as it should be, in the form of Sonic Colours.

The presentation of the game is very good, for example. The cutscenes are fun to watch, the characters are portrayed in a fun but simple way, and let's not forget about the graphics, which show that if a developer puts in effort, the Wii can display pretty images on the screen. And did I mention that the music also conveys the atmosphere of the Sonic games from the 90s?

The gameplay is fast-paced again, especially in 2D combined with the homing attack, the goal seems to be to rush through a level as fast as possible.

There are also some flaws, which is the main reason this game only gets an 8, but the controls are not always refined. When playing the game in the 2D sections, there's no issue, but in 3D, the experience is not always fantastic. Especially the controls are not always precise.

Overall, it's just a solid game, and even a must-have for platform lovers.

After quite a few unsuccessful attempts, Sonic is back from being gone!

With amazing graphics, high speed, beautiful level design, and excellent power-ups in the form of the Wisps that truly enrich the gameplay, Sonic Colours is the best 3D Sonic game on the Wii!

The only reason I can't give it a higher score is because of the jumping and wall-jump mechanics, both of which feel rather awkward.

In short: welcome back, Sonic!

Energetic platform game with colorful worlds and unique powers
Sonic Colours is an energetic platform game where you run and jump as Sonic through colorful worlds. For me, the cheerful style and fast gameplay kept a constant smile on my face. You have to defeat enemies and collect rings while using special Wisps that offer unique powers. Each Wisp has its own special abilities, such as the Cyan Laser that allows you to shoot lightning-fast through the levels, or the Yellow Drill that lets you drill through the ground.

The beautiful graphics and fun levels of Sonic Colours really caught my eye. Each level is full of vibrant colors and creative designs, making it a joy to play. The challenges range from easy to quite challenging, keeping the game interesting for both new players and seasoned fans of the franchise. The story is surprisingly engaging and adds an extra layer to the already exciting gameplay.

What I especially loved is that Sonic Colours offers hours of fun and adventure. The different Wisps and their powers provide a lot of variety, allowing you to discover new ways to complete the levels. For fans of platform games and the Sonic franchise, this game is an absolute must-have. It is incredibly well-made and keeps challenging you to come back for more.

Super cool!
I bought the game and it was awesome. The controls are good and it has great graphics. It really feels like you're walking around there yourself.
The downside of Sonic Colours is that it's quite challenging for beginners, but the rest is good.

This is a recommendation!

Difficult at the beginning but a really cool game!
When I started playing, I didn't understand anything at all, but after a few hours, you start to get the hang of it, and Sonic Colours is a super fun game with lots of possibilities and tons of action. The graphics are just really good, and the gameplay is fantastic!

Amazing game! Beautiful story, definitely a Must-Have if you're a Sonic fan!
Sonic is back in a new adventure, called Sonic Colours! This time it's all about the so-called "Wisps". These little creatures give Sonic new powers to navigate through impassable paths. With the help of a rocket Wisp, Sonic can soar and rise to higher places. The big villain "Egg-Man" is back as well, attempting once again to crush Sonic and dominate the world. This time, he's trying to do so by opening a space amusement park. This Sonic game is a lot of fun and definitely worth its money and effort. Highly recommended!

Super fast action and diverse levels make this one of the best Sonic games
Sonic Colours for the Nintendo Wii is truly one of the best Sonic games I've played. You mostly go super fast, which is a huge improvement compared to earlier games where you sometimes went quite slow. The levels are varied and each has its own unique controls, keeping the game fresh and challenging.

The power-ups, called Wisps, are a fun addition. They help you through the level and give you special abilities like transforming into a laser or a drill. The bosses are also fun and offer a good challenge. It's a shame there's no multiplayer, but playing solo is also super cool.

The cutscenes are of very high quality and the graphics are impressive for a Wii game. I didn't experience any framerate drops, which keeps the gameplay smooth. A recommendation for anyone who loves Sonic, whether you're an old fan or new to the series.

The gameplay is fun
Sonic Colors is a fun game. The levels are very enjoyable to play, but it switches to 2D a bit too often for my liking. I would have preferred more 3D elements in it. Also, it can be a bit easy at times, especially the boss battles.

The story isn't that great. It mainly consists of Sonic and Tails making really bad jokes or Eggman's robots doing silly things.

New in this game are the Wisps and the red coins. You can collect red coins and the Wisps give you temporary fun skills to use.

Secrets:
Where is Super Sonic in Sonic Colours and how can I unlock him?
Frank
47061
After playing all the levels, defeating the final boss, and completing the rest of the game Sonic Colors, there's only one thing that seems to be missing: where is Super Sonic? Every game featuring our favorite blue hedgehog has a final boss that is typically defeated by Sonic's well-known golden transformation. However, upon finishing this game, you'll likely be disappointed to find that Super Sonic is nowhere to be found. What now?

Don't worry: Super Sonic is indeed present in this game as well, but he's just a bit more hidden than in previous games. Instead of simply playing through the story as usual, you now need to make sure to collect all the red rings (a total of 180) and then complete all the levels of the Sonic Simulator. Only then will you unlock Super Sonic as an option in the Options Satellite of Sonic Colors.

If you think this sounds like too much work, just remember that in this game, you can use Super Sonic not only for the final boss but for every level throughout the entire game...

How can I dodge all the boss's attacks in Sonic Colours?
Luc
11 jaar
At the final boss of Sonic Colors, you can easily dodge all attacks.
Laser attack: simply jump over the lasers.
Cubes: use the quick step to avoid them (if he also shoots balls, you need to jump about three, two times, and when he combines it with the laser, don't use the quick step but walk in the middle)
Balls: jump and when he gets closer, use the homing attack. Keep doing this until you have one of each type of wisp (if you deal enough damage to the boss, you will get one or two wisps) and use the combined colors. The final boss will then be defeated, and you will see fireworks in the shape of an Eggman head.
