Fun cooking game without multiplayer option
In Order Up! you are the chef. Through simple mini-games, you prepare dishes, make delicious snacks, and give customers what they want. The game looks like a real party game, but strangely enough, there is no multiplayer mode available. This is a shame because cooking alone is a lot less fun than cooking together.

Cute for the little ones, but perhaps a bit light for serious gamers
As a child, everyone must have played one of those McDonald's games on the computer! This game actually has the exact same concept, make the people in your restaurant happy with food and drinks. And of course, you can prepare that yourself. Order Up! is perfect for younger children or for gamers looking for a fun snack to play.

Cooking Hamburgers
I really like Order Up!. You start off as a chef but you get better and better, making bigger dishes. You even start chopping onions and cooking hamburgers. I recommend the game, it's quite fun!

Historical Context

Order Up! was originally released in 2008 and has since garnered a loyal fan base. The game stood out for its unique approach to the cooking genre, which had previously been dominated by titles like Cooking Mama. The popularity of Order Up! even led to a re-release on other platforms such as the PlayStation 3 and the Nintendo 3DS. But for me, the Wii version is truly the best, with the unique motion controls that make this version truly special. Fantastic, isn't it?

Tips and secrets, cheats and codes

6 tips: 4 Personal tips - 1 Secret - 1 Easter Egg/Glitch

Personal tip:
Why wouldn't you hire chefs at Order Up!?

1. Most chefs you can hire cost a lot of money but aren't worth it! They don't cook perfectly and it will cost you tips/money!
In short: Save your money and don't hire them at Order Up!.
Exception: the Japanese chef. He cuts everything perfectly. And cutting is precisely the most difficult part.
2. Upgrading your equipment is completely unnecessary. The knife won't get better and speeding up your equipment won't yield anything. Only cleaning is necessary to get a star.
3. Don't buy too many herbs. You'll only use most of them rarely. Extra needed: cheese in the Italian restaurant, salt, pepper, and vegetarian in the final restaurant.

Secrets:
How can I efficiently manage my time when preparing multiple dishes at once?
Grotehaas

Don't let your food get cold. Especially when you have to prepare 4 plates at once, this is important.
1. Wait with the final part of each dish. When you're ready: try to make the final parts of each dish simultaneously in Order Up!.
2. Let the final part of each dish wait: in the oven, with your assistant, or hang it above the fryer. It only gets cold when you complete the dish.
If possible, prepare the dish in a different order than indicated. This is to avoid double occupancy of, for example, the fryer.
3. It doesn't matter if you do the hot or cold part first. So, do last what you find the simplest. Grating cheese, for example, is very easy.

Easter Eggs and Glitches:
How do you play the minigame "Newspaper Boy" in Order Up! on the Wii?
Wesley
5310
Every new day in Order Up!, a postman rides past the front of a restaurant, delivering a newspaper. Point at him with the Wiimote and click on him with A before he hands over the newspaper. You can then play a new minigame, where you have to catch as many newspapers as possible and even earn money for it!

Personal tip:
Why is it important to discard imperfections when preparing dishes?
Grotehaas

If it's not perfect... chuck it. It only costs money if you've added herbs to it. It will earn you so many extra tips that it's definitely worth it. If something doesn't turn out quite right... don't worry about the rest of the dish. It won't be perfect anyway.

Personal tip:
Why is it important to call the Delivery Boy every day in Order Up!?
Grotehaas
15280

Call the Delivery Boy every day in Order Up!. It will cost you money, but you'll receive a lot of extra income. If you're out of luck one time... just leave the screen and come back for new opportunities and (hopefully) new prizes!

Oh, and if you're aiming for your 5th star (Food Critic), you should actually avoid calling. It will cost you money, but won't bring any benefits.

Personal tip:
How can I attract more customers to my new restaurant?
Grotehaas

You've just bought a new restaurant. It might seem smart to start cooking there. However, it's wiser to keep earning a lot of money in your old restaurant first. There, you have full tables after all. Only go to the new restaurant of Order Up! when you have a lot of money. Buy stars with that money. (By spending the money on cleaning, regular dishes, and chef specials.) This way, you'll quickly fill the tables in your new restaurant.
