More beautiful and newer!
Advantages include:
1. The Wii Mini looks more beautiful and stays looking good for much longer. The older glossy versions of the Wii get scratched very quickly.
2. The Wii Mini is more recently produced than the other versions.

Disadvantages include:
1. You cannot play GameCube games, which is possible on the Nintendo Wii.
2. You cannot connect a Konami Dance Mat or a Family Trainer Mat because they use the GameCube controller inputs.
3. The Wii Component Cable is not supported.

Going online with the Wii is no longer possible. Nintendo has discontinued this service. The fact that the Wii Mini cannot go online is no longer a disadvantage.

The most fun and simple Wii!
I have this Wii and I think it's great. Very small and compact, with a unique retro look and simply straightforward without too many frills.

I've come across quite a few negative reviews about this version and I'll try to refute them:

1) This one doesn't have a slot loader, but an 'old-fashioned' top loader. A simple top loader lasts longer and is easier to repair. Besides, you can always access your disc if the Wii were to malfunction. Ever tried to rescue a CD/DVD from a faulty device with a slot loader? Not easy.
2) No internet support. The Wii is now considered an 'old' console. It's uncertain whether there will be much online gaming or services available on the servers in the future. If you're buying a Wii now, it's simply for the fun games and local co-op play.
3) No GameCube support (games and controllers). A true Nintendo fan would naturally also have a GameCube. And if you don't have one, you can purchase one at MarioCube. Additionally, the Wii has cool classic controllers that are just as good (or even better) than the GameCube controllers.

So, definitely give this 'retro' Wii a chance!

Mainly downsides, for the money you're better off buying a regular Wii
The Nintendo Wii Mini was released in 2012, 6 years after the original Wii and in the same year as the Nintendo Wii U..

The Wii Mini is, as the name suggests, smaller than the Wii.. However, the Wii Mini and the Wii are not that different in size. Not only that, the Wii Mini has a Top Loader, just like the Gamecube, which takes up more space than the original Wii, which had a Front Loader.

The Wii Mini has a nice black-red colored design, but there are also people who don't like the appearance at all.

Let's take a closer look at what the Wii Mini can do.
First of all, the Wii Mini has no internet support, so no internet cable can be connected or wireless internet can be used. However, since May 2014, Nintendo has discontinued online services for the Nintendo DS and Nintendo Wii, so many games can no longer be played online anyway.
The next downside is... The Wii Mini has no SD port. So you can't use an SD card. This may not seem like a big problem since the Wii Mini stores everything on the Wii itself, but you can't transfer saved files to another Wii or import/export photos (in some games, you can take 'screenshots').

Also, the Wii Mini does not support a component cable, which provided the best quality for the original Wii.

Furthermore, the Wii Mini also does not have Gamecube support, Gamecube games cannot be played on it, and you cannot use the Gamecube controller or play some games that use the Gamecube port for their accessories, such as games with the Konami Dance Mat like Dance Dance Revolution Hottest Party.

And the Wii Mini only has 1 USB port, severely limiting the use of USB accessories such as a microphone.

To sum it up:
+/- The design, which is also a matter of taste.
- No Gamecube support
- No internet support
- No SD card
- Only 1 USB port
- Takes up more space

However, the price is good, but for that price, you're better off buying the regular Nintendo Wii.

SUPER game console
I am now also a proud owner of a Nintendo Wii Mini. Very handy game console:
1. Small, takes up little space near the TV
2. Very easy to set up

3. The red color adds a nice touch, of course
4. And most importantly, it plays all Wii games, so you don't need to buy special games for the mini

In my opinion, a real recommendation.

Stylish design, compact
The Wii Mini is a Wii console that, as the name suggests, is smaller than the others. Let me first list the advantages. The Wii Mini is compact, you can take it with you anywhere. Figuratively speaking, you can put it in your bag and walk away with it. It also has a stylish design; it looks a bit like a small Gamecube. The red remote + nunchuk that come with it are very nice and offer variety. The Wii Mini does not support internet, but with the other Wiis, you can no longer connect to the internet via Wifi, so this doesn't make much of a difference anymore.

Wii Mini: fewer features but practical
For simply playing the Nintendo Wii Mini, this Wii is good enough. Unfortunately, you can't play Gamecube games on it and online functionality is also not available, which is a shame. However, it's handy for when you're traveling. And when you place it somewhere, it's less cluttered.

Handy gadget
The Nintendo Wii Mini is small and compact, has a nice color, and is exactly a Wii. The only downside is that it doesn't have Wifi, so you can't download games on it. The package you buy, optionally with Mario Kart included, contains a Wii-mote and a Nunchuk, which is definitely nice for that price. Handy to take on holiday, but can we really say that a regular Wii is too big for that?

Wii Mini: Mini Price, Minimal Fun
The Wii Mini! Sounds very cute, but it's not all that. This might be fun for someone starting out with gaming. Mini price, but still almost as much fun as the Wii. But that 'almost', that makes quite a difference. For example, you can't play online. That's a shame for games like Mario Kart Wii, Super Smash Bros. Brawl and many more. You can't go online at all. This means you can't buy games in the Wii Shop Channel, you can't download other channels, and you can't use the Internet browser and the friends list.

With the Wii Mini, it's really all about the games. In a way, that's actually everything a game console is for. But that also becomes minimal because you can't play GameCube games on the Wii Mini. And with games like Mario Kart Wii and Super Smash Bros. Brawl, you also can't use a GameCube controller, which you could with the Wii. This makes everything a lot less enjoyable. But if you're just starting out with gaming, the Wii Mini is alright to begin with.

For me, Nintendo could have paid more attention to new Wii U games instead of a Wii Mini, which will also turn out to be minimal.

Great, you just can't play online.
The Nintendo Wii Mini is smaller, cheaper, and better. Just great; an affordable Wii! It's just a shame you can't play online, but I only use that for Mario Kart, so that's not a problem either. A real recommendation!

Pros & Cons
A friend of mine has the Nintendo Wii Mini and often takes it on trips. It's convenient for places where space is limited. The downside is that you can't go online.

A bit unnecessary
The Nintendo Wii Mini is only suitable for offline games, as it doesn't have wifi capabilities. It only has one USB port and is almost as expensive as the regular Wii. However, offline games run smoothly on it and the device looks good!
