What is the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector and how does it work? The Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector was originally designed to allow owners of a Nintendo DS without wireless internet to still enjoy all online features. For this, you needed wired internet and a computer running Windows XP or Vista. The great thing about the USB connector is that you can control who wants to connect to it, and then grant them permission. It's even possible to connect your Wii to it, although it's not advisable if you want to use WiiConnect24. Your computer needs to be on when using the connector.
How to connect using the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector? 1. Go to "Wii Options" at the bottom left of the screen. 2. Click on "Wii Settings". 3. Navigate to the second screen and select "Internet". 4. Choose "Connections". 5. Select the first connection from the list. 6. Choose "Wi-Fi Connection". 7. Click on "Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector". 8. Power on your computer (if it's not already on). 9. Insert the USB connector into one of the computer's USB ports. 10. Install the software on your computer. The software CD is included with the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector. 11. Launch the Wi-Fi registration software that will be installed on your computer. 12. Your computer will search for your Wii. Right-click on it, and grant permission for the Wii to connect to your computer. 13. Click "Next" on the Wii. 14. The Wii will test the connection.
Where can I find the software for the Connector? The software needed to use the Wii Wi-Fi USB connector is publicly available. You can download the software from the Nintendo website: Nintendo.com
