Beautiful, but very challenging
I find NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams quite beautiful. Flying with Nights is fun, but the controls are not exactly easy. The bosses are creatively designed, but they are difficult, and if you make a mistake, you have to redo the whole level.
In the levels where you play as Will or Helen, aiming well is almost impossible.
The cutscenes in between are enjoyable the first time, but if you replay the level later, you can't skip the (sometimes quite long) cutscenes.
However, the worlds are enjoyable, beautiful, and well thought out.

Helen's Unlockables
The following things can be unlocked by completing Helen's quest in Story Mode of NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams. By completing her quest, you will receive the Sketchbook. If you achieve at least a C rank, you will also unlock Helen's Video Room.
Will's Unlockables
The following things can be unlocked by completing Will's quest in Story Mode of NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams. By completing his quest, you will receive the Audio Room. If you achieve at least a C rank, you will also unlock Will's Video Room.
Original Characters
To unlock the two characters from the original Sega Saturn NiGHTS game, you must collect all 60 Dream Drops with the two new characters. To unlock Claris Sinclair, you must do this with Helen. For Elliot Edwards, you do this with Will. Once you have collected all 60, jump into the Dream World Fountain to receive your character.
Race Music
To unlock Race Music in your Sound Library, play a 2 player race in 2 player mode of NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams.
Original NiGHTS Music
To obtain the original NiGHTS music, you must achieve an A rank on all stages.
