A fantastic game for every Wii enthusiast
Monster Hunter Tri looks absolutely stunning in terms of graphics alone. In Monster Hunter Tri, there is an immense amount of space where you need to gather resources, hunt monsters, craft weapons, and more.
I myself purchased the Ultimate Hunter Pack, a bundle that includes the game, a figurine, a classic controller pro, and WiiSpeak. WiiSpeak truly enhances the multiplayer experience of this game!
You can also play it in split-screen mode with 2 players on your own Wii. It's fun, but the real excitement lies in playing the online multiplayer mode.
You can engage in online multiplayer with 4 players. If you decide to buy this game, make sure to get WiiSpeak as well, because it truly elevates the experience. It's amazing how much fun you can have shouting at your friends.

Monster Hunter Tri is a very fun and addictive game, maybe a bit too much
Monster Hunter Tri (MH3) is the first Monster Hunter game on a Nintendo console and it's fantastic. In the game, you have two play modes, online and offline. Both modes are essentially the same, except online is with other people. MH3 feels like an MMORPG, you can create your own character and play online while chatting with people. Chatting can be done with the controller or a keyboard if you have one. With friends, you can also use Wii-Speak. Your online and offline progress is connected, so you can train your character online when you're stuck offline. MH3 also boasts beautiful graphics and there is a lot to do. There are several types of weapons and lots of equipment to choose from. The music in the game is nice, not overly impressive but enjoyable nonetheless. In addition to the regular game modes, there is an Arena. In the arena, you can team up with someone, online or offline, to fight against gigantic monsters. Cijfer:

I personally think this is the best Wii game so far.
So far, this is the best Wii game to date. I couldn't stop playing it once I went online for the first time. You always want to get better so you can do more quests. It's so addictive that I've spent almost 250 hours on it. The world to explore is so vast. And if you need a specific weapon or armor? No worries, defeat a Lagiacrus (gigantic water monster) a few times and voilà you can craft the weapon you want. This way, you keep getting stronger until you face the final monsters. All in all, I think Monster Hunter Tri is the best Wii game. But no game is perfect, and neither is this one, so I give it a 9.8. Cijfer:

Monster Hunter Tri has great gameplay. I think the multiplayer mode is especially enjoyable because when you're playing with two people, you can have a lot of fun exterminating monsters.

I've often heard that the Barroth is a very tricky creature to defeat in Monster Hunter Tri. Everyone seems to tackle it with a sword or hammer.
My tip is to build a HeavyGun, equipped with sleep bullets and optionally HeatSeeking Bullets.

When you have to defeat the Great Jaggi in Monster Hunter Tri, the little ones can be quite annoying. To get rid of them, you'll need a lantern. The gigginox is a creature with high Thunder and Ice resistance. So, I recommend using a Fire weapon. You probably don't have a good Fire weapon at this point. If you're skilled with a Hammer, I suggest using a Querpeco Hammer, which is also quite effective. Alternatively, you can utilize Rust Weaponary, which is Dragon type, and the gigginox is not particularly fond of that.
For Armor, a Gigginox armor is the best choice, but you most likely don't have that yet. Use either your best Armor or one enhanced with Antidote Jewels.
Grab some Hot Drinks from the chest and have one just before the battle. Also, bring along some Dung Bombs in case the Gigginox tries to swallow you.
NEVER use a torch. It will draw the Gigginox's attention to you, and you'll be in trouble. Instead, have Cha Cha wear his Lantern mask and select a Fire attack.
During the fight, focus on the tail! It's the least dangerous part, and you can break its eggs. Adopt a Hit&Run style. After the tail, target the head, but avoid standing directly in front of the gigginox and attacking, or it will eat you. If it launches a frontal attack, it's best to use a Lance or Great Sword to block.

If you have slain Gobul, take a good look at its lantern. It still emits light in Monster Hunter Tri! :) Secrets: How can I retrieve stolen items from Felynes and Melynxes in Monster Hunter Tri?
