Reviews Mario Strikers Charged Football 15 reviews - average rating 8,6Innovative Sidekick Mechanics and Megastrike Features The sequel to the entertaining Mario Smash Football on the Gamecube is, in my opinion, one of the best games on the Wii so far. The biggest innovation is that you can place a different sidekick in every position, each with its own specific qualities. Each sidekick also has its own special move and skillshot, and each captain has their own power-up. Also fun is the Megastrike, which allows you to score multiple goals at once. This leads to very enjoyable scenarios. For example, if you're trailing 0-5 and you execute a Megastrike, you might just come back in one go and win 6-5. The Road to the Striker Cup is also very enjoyable and challenging. With the Z-button, you can "chip" the ball up, allowing you to perform many tricks and even use the wall. All in all, Mario Strikers Charged Football is definitely worth it. Cijfer:
9,5The best rule: There are no rules! I've played the GameCube version often enough. When the Wii version came out, I rushed to the store immediately. Once I started the game, I didn't put down my Wii for a month. It gives you a great feeling to blast your opponents off the field or pelt them with shields.
The game features a Tournament mode, which is almost impossible. The first cup is doable. The 2nd cup gets tricky, but the 3rd one is truly almost impossible. I made it to the final, but I just can't beat Petey Piranha. Read more...
There's also a very challenging mission mode. Here, you have to complete missions with each character, like: Starting with a 3-0 deficit, try to win the match within 1 minute. This is a cleverly designed system that I enjoy playing often.
Mario Strikers Charged Football is a solid Mario sports game. It brings some necessary innovation and improvements compared to its predecessor. It's very challenging and offers the option to play football online. A must-have for any Wii owner! Hide. Cijfer:
9,0 Read more reviews.Improved graphics and endless multiplayer fun This is a sequel to Mario's soccer debut on the Gamecube, and I have to say, the game is well done. Many things have been improved, such as the graphics and the fields, and everything is naturally designed for Wii controls. At the start of a match, you choose a team consisting of four players and a captain. You win by, of course, scoring more goals than your opponent. This can be done by passing and shooting at the right moment. But more fun is the MegaStrike. By holding down A and releasing it at the right moment, you determine how many balls you shoot and how much power you put behind your shot. The other player then has to try to stop the balls with the Wii-mote. The single player mode may be completed after a while, but then you still have the multiplayer, which is endlessly entertaining!Mario Strikers Charged Football Cijfer:

No rules, lots of fun, and exciting super shots! How great is it to have a game of football with your friends! Every time I play Mario Strikers Charged Football, there's a lot of laughter.
It's so much fun because you can really let loose, as there are absolutely no rules!
I used to play Mario Smash Football for the GameCube a lot before, and it was already super fun then!
The super shots are always so thrilling, especially now that you also have to keep goal yourself (which wasn't possible before). You can also build your own team and position them wherever you want (which wasn't possible in the past). Cijfer:

Lots of variety and online fun, but can be a bit long-winded at times I find Mario Strikers Charged Football, and many others find this a very enjoyable game. There is a lot of variety in the way of scoring, the cups (unfortunately fewer than on the GameCube), the teams... Etc..
Another plus is that you can play online. That is usually a lot of fun, although sometimes there seem to be real pros present. Overall, it's a top game. I give it an 8.5 because it's not a very long game, and it can be very, but really very occasionally, long-winded. But otherwise, a top game! Cijfer:

The best fun football game Mario Strikers Charged Football: the best fun football game for the Wii! Lots of unlockables, the craziest power-ups, and of course the Megastrike (where you can score multiple goals at once). I played it today on my Wii with 3 friends, it's really a laugh: Waluigi suddenly jumps into your goal, Birdo throws something that looks like a giant egg into your goal and scores, you do the Megastrike and score 3 goals, etc! I would never play this game alone, but with friends or via Wi-Fi, I can enjoy it all day long! Cijfer:
8,5Action-packed Soccer with Mario! Look, this is what I call proper soccer! Finally, goals are being scored without half an hour in between. There's tackling and shooting with shields, this is soccer at its finest! (Although I must admit I'm not a huge soccer fan, but more of a Mario Strikers Charged Football kind of person!) Cijfer:

Online Multiplayer and Team Customization make this game a Hit! This successful 2nd installment has much more to offer than the first one, even though there are fewer cups, you can now play online!
Moreover, instead of a team consisting solely of Toads, you can now customize the entire team yourself. With a lot of great gameplay and fun, Mario Strikers Charged Football is a real gem! Cijfer:

Simply top-notch This game is much better than the first installment.
You can actually put together a team.
And there's some great bashing and shooting going on. Read more...
Firing weapons is also very amusing!
The skillshots and power-ups are cool too.
Especially when you team up with your brother.
In conclusion: Mario Strikers Charged Football is simply top-notch! Hide. Cijfer:

Not really value for your money. Why would you want to fight in a soccer game when you can do that in Super Smash Bros already? When you try to make a final shot and you're almost there, you usually get knocked down and then you have to try to steal the ball again.
One of the first Mario games that doesn't really give you value for your money.Mario Strikers Charged Football Cijfer:

Another Variation of Football Games Mario Strikers Charged Football features beautiful graphics and enjoyable gameplay. It offers football with super shots and plenty of possibilities. You have a Mario star, three sidekicks, and a goalkeeper to play with. Sometimes when a goal is scored against a goalkeeper, he gets angry and uses violence against his teammate, which looks funny. Although this game doesn't have many unlockables, it doesn't matter because the game is otherwise perfect! Cijfer:

Mario Strikers Charged: A must-have for every Mario and football fan! Mario Strikers Charged Football for the Nintendo Wii is like FIFA, but with Mario and his friends. This is a very handy trick that gives you a great scoring opportunity in Mario Strikers Charged Football. Here's how to execute it: Run with a fast character (like Toad or Boo) along the side of the field while holding down the z-button. When you reach the penalty area, release the z-button. The ball will go to the goalkeeper via the wall, but just before the goalkeeper catches the ball, press the a-button to pass. Your teammate will now be in front of an open goal. Personal tip: How do you perform the "Low chip" trick in Mario Strikers Charged Football? Please note: This trick only works with fast characters.
In Mario Strikers Charged Football, walk to the halfway line straight in front of the goal. Once you're there, press Z briefly. You will now play the ball a bit ahead of you. The goalkeeper will try to catch the ball, but before he does, grab the ball again and move to the left or right. Now the goalkeeper is out of position, and you can easily score. When you're playing as Toad, Peach, or Diddy Kong in Mario Strikers Charged Football, run towards the goalkeeper. When you're about at the penalty spot, press the d-pad on your Wii remote and you'll do a somersault! With a bit of luck, you'll jump over the goalkeeper and score a goal! Personal tip: How to effectively use the Crystal Smash power up in Mario Strikers Charged Football? Choose Daisy. When you have the Crystal Smash power-up, walk towards the goal and chip the ball into the hands of the goalkeeper. While the goalkeeper has the ball in his hands, stand close to him and activate the Crystal Smash. If you've done it right, the goalkeeper will drop the ball, giving you the opportunity to score in Mario Strikers Charged Football. Personal tip: How can Donkey Kong's item help with scoring in Mario Strikers Charged Football? When the goalkeeper has the ball in his hands, approach him with Donkey Kong and use his item. The goalkeeper will release the ball, allowing you to easily score in Mario Strikers Charged Football. Easter Eggs and Glitches: How can Waluigi be used to score points? Pim17 | | 3229 |
By cleverly using Waluigi, you can score a lot of points! Check out this awesome video: Personal tip: What is the effect of the "static" charge of Dry Bones in Wii on the opponent? Thommelchi ng | | 1070 | | 14 jaar |
Do you already know Dry Bones' skillshot? Dry Bones supposedly gives a "static" charge to the ball, which electrocutes anyone who touches it. This can be incredibly useful if you electrocute the goalkeeper. When you electrocute the goalkeeper, he can't do anything, so you can just head the ball high back into an empty goal. But be quick because the electrocution doesn't last for the whole match, of course! Personal tip: How can I make Toad do a somersault over the goalkeeper and score in Mario Strikers? Bagt | | 62 | | 14 jaar |
If you play with the character Toad in Mario Strikers Charged Football, you can do a somersault over the goalkeeper. If you time it right, it always works because you don't even have to shoot, you just walk into the goal. Personal tip: How can I effectively use bananas in Mario Strikers Charged Football? If you have received 5 bananas, head to the corner of the field on your opponent's side in Mario Strikers Charged Football. It's best to get there with a mushroom. This way, you'll reach the spot before your opponents do. Once there, face the corner and throw the bananas backwards. You can also do this with 3 bananas, but then there's a higher chance of failure. Your opponents will try to get you, but they will automatically slip on the bananas. This gives you the opportunity to perform a super strike. The success rate of this move is 95%. Good luck! Secrets: How can I unlock cheats in Mario Strikers Charged Football? Personal tip: How can I score using the Z button in Mario Strikers Charged Football on the Wii? Did you know that instead of shooting with the B-button, you can also score with the Z-button in Mario Strikers Charged Football? This works best when you are standing on one of the 2 points of the penalty area and then quickly press Z. Sometimes the goalkeeper doesn't react to this and you score. Personal tip: How can I make a slow-motion shot in Mario Strikers Charged Football? In Mario Strikers Charged Football, you can perform a slow-motion shot instead of a striker shot. By charging the ball with B (purple, red, orange, yellow, white) and then passing it to a teammate and shooting in one go, you can execute a shot that appears in slow motion before it reaches the goal. Make sure to charge the ball up to white or yellow before passing it to another player. Personal tip: How can I easily score with Dry Bones in Mario Strikers Charged Football? Lemmyfan39 6 | | 575 | | 13 jaar |
For this trick, you need to have 1 Dry Bones on your team. Make sure the ball is fully charged and then pass to Dry Bones, walk straight towards the goalkeeper, and when he gets too close, press the down arrow, this way Dry Bones will do his roll, but since the ball is charged, he will roll much further. This is useful for scoring from a distance in Mario Strikers Charged Football. Secrets: Which Character Cards can you earn by completing the challenges in Mario Strikers Charged Football? Personal tip: How do you perform the Insta Chip trick in Mario Strikers Charged Football? A tricky move, just like the Belgian Waffle, but quite fun once you master it. Hold down the z-button. Walk through the center of the field in Mario Strikers Charged Football. When you're just past the halfway line, release the z-button. Sometimes the ball will end up over the keeper and into the goal. This trick works best in stadiums like Bowser Stadium, The Lava Pit, or The Classroom. Easter Eggs and Glitches: How do you perform the Boo glitch in Mario Strikers Charged Football? Take Boo. When you're right in front of the goalkeeper, charge the ball by holding down the B button. As the goalkeeper comes out to catch the ball, press the left button on the four-point directional pad (what a word) and make your escape. The goalkeeper will now chase after you in Mario Strikers Charged Football. Secrets: What are the specials of the sidekicks in Mario Strikers Charged Football? Pim17 | | 3229 |
Every side-kick has its own unique qualities. These can come in handy during a match in Mario Strikers Charged Football. They can perform a special shot or evade in a particular way. Below you'll find all the specials of the side-kicks. Side-kick | Shot | Evasion | Toad | Fireball that burns the goalkeeper's hands | Leap over the opponent | Boo | Invisibility while floating through the air, confusing the goalkeeper about the ball's location. | Pass through opponents while invisible | Birdo | Egg shot that the goalkeeper can never stop, but can be blocked by field players. | Spin to shake off opponents | Hammer Bro. | Throw hammers at the goalkeeper and then shoot. | Hit the opponent with a big, thick hammer | Monty Mole | Ground shot that, with good timing, can take out the goalkeeper and score. | Dig a hole and pop up to shake off opponents. | Koopa | Shell shot that knocks out the goalkeeper, allowing you to score. | Retreat into its shell and move to the side. | Dry Bones | Electro shot that electrocutes the goalkeeper, enabling you to score. | Roll to teleport. The more charged the ball is, the further it can roll. | Shy Guy | Bullet Bill shot causing a big explosion, setting up a scoring opportunity. | Feint |
Personal tip: How can I easily perform a Mega Strike in Mario Strikers Charged Football with 3 or more friends on the same team? When playing with 3 or more friends on the same team in Mario Strikers Charged Football, you can easily pull off a Mega Strike by positioning yourselves around each other and knocking out all opponents. Just be careful of any items that might come your way! Personal tip: Is it strongly discouraged to play this game if you're left-handed? Links | | 21 jaar |
If you're left-handed: not recommended. Unfortunately, you won't get further than the fire cup, which seems fairly easy to earn. In the silver cup, you'll probably win most of the time, but beating the little monkey is impossible. This is because, unfortunately, you can't modify the controls accordingly, so you're stuck with "bashing" (sick slides) with your right hand. If you're left-handed and you manage to beat the monkey, you've probably played it too many times. For the "casual" left-handed gamer, this game is STRONGLY discouraged. Personal tip: How can I win finals by playing defensively? Are you finally in the final of Mario Strikers Charged Football, but keep losing? Don't panic! The most important thing is to score the first goal. Have you scored? Don't continue scoring. Try to intercept the ball immediately after kick-off, run back with the ball to your own goalkeeper, and let him pick up the ball for a moment. Then wait and roll the ball to the nearest teammate at the last moment. Wait until the opponent starts moving, which can take quite a while, and then quickly run back to the goalkeeper and you can keep repeating this until time runs out. Easy, right? Personal tip: How can I play both defensively and offensively in Mario Strikers Charged Football? Theo | | 12 jaar |
If you're having trouble beating Diddy Kong, try using a fast captain and only Dry Bones for the rest of your team; he's meant for defense but is also great at attacking. He's quick and has a good shot in Mario Strikers Charged Football. Personal tip: How can I effectively use Birdo in Mario Strikers Charged Football on the Wii? When using Birdo in Mario Strikers Charged Football, make sure to run close to the side towards the goal. When someone tries to tackle you, press the left button. This will make Birdo spin and send the opponent flying into the electric wall, allowing you to easily advance towards the goal. Once everyone is out of the way, hold down the B button and Birdo will shoot an egg, resulting in an instant goal. Personal tip: How can I easily recharge my Mega Strike in Mario Strikers Charged Football? Kevin1325 | | 2027 | | 14 jaar |
When you are charging up a mega strike in Mario Strikers Charged Football, you are often immediately attacked.
Once you have just crossed the halfway line, that's the best time to charge it up, as you are less likely to be attacked there and you have time to charge up your mega strike. Personal tip: How can I confuse the goalkeeper and score by passing frequently in Mario Strikers Charged Football on the Wii? Luc | | 11 jaar |
If you pass very often, the goalkeeper gets confused and you can score in Mario Strikers Charged Football. Personal tip: How can I defeat my opponents on the tornado track in Diddy Kong Racing? NickGamerD utch | | 4194 | | 13 jaar |
There's a track where everyone who steps off the line gets blown away. Since there's also a mission from Diddy Kong on this stage, here's a tip: lead your opponents to the line and then kick them. They'll be blown away. Less tips and secrets.
