The ultimate multiplayer experience with plenty of playable characters and fun minigames
Mario Party 8 is, of course, the ultimate multiplayer game. The series may have been milked a bit, but that doesn't spoil the fun. This installment is no exception. With plenty of playable characters, incredibly fun minigames, smooth controls, and quite a bit of extra content, you and your friends will have a blast for a long time to come, even though major innovations are lacking.

What a top game! Despite the quality being a bit disappointing (which you quickly get used to), this is a game with a ton of possibilities.

You can play this game with up to 4 people. You navigate through different levels, and whoever reaches the end of the level first has the opportunity to buy a star. The player with the most stars ultimately wins. Mario Party 8 also offers a variety of levels such as the beach, city (hotel), a special browser world, the jungle, haunted house, and a train.

Each level has its own elements that make it challenging to acquire a star. This keeps the game fun to play. Before starting, you can choose how many rounds you want to play; a round of 10 would last about half an hour. You can't change this during gameplay!

After everyone has had a turn in a round, you get a mini-game. These are incredibly fun and relatively short. At first, they can be a bit tricky, but by setting the "computer" players to "easy," you can get used to the controls and how the game works. There's also an option to practice the mini-game before starting.

After each round, you earn Festival Points, which you can exchange for vehicles and extra sounds in your game. This is a nice addition from Nintendo. You can also replay all the mini-games if you don't feel like starting a whole new game right away.

Ideal for an evening with friends, less suitable for solo play
Mario Party 8 is a truly typical party game. Lots of mini-games, a cheerful appearance, and enjoyable gameplay. Many mini-games are very creatively designed, but at the same time can be repetitive. Graphically, it looks better than the earlier Mario Party games. This is the perfect game to play with friends. But if you're home alone, you might as well put it back on the shelf.

Amazing: Guaranteed laughter!
This game is simply a must-have for the Wii, it's fun, cozy, it just has a hefty dose of humor in it! Whether it's because of the funny way the characters move or the terribly funny mini-games with their accompanying videos, I wouldn't know. It's also fun to play it alone but definitely fun to do it with a group. Guaranteed laughter with Mario Party 8!

I find Mario Party 8 a very enjoyable game. The downside is that you always have to wait for the other players. But that can be funny too, because then you can see how bad :P the others are. I like the mini-games the most because you have to work together. Overall, this is truly my favorite game on the Wii.

The past Mario Party games have always been fun to play with friends. Mario Party 8 is once again a great party game. Even though it doesn't differ much from the previous Mario Party games, it's a lot of fun for parties. There are fun new mini-games, but once again, the 1-player Story Mode doesn't offer much. But since it's Mario PARTY, we shouldn't pay too much attention to that. There are cool new boards where you can play new games, which is fun, but I would have preferred more boards where you could play the classic Mario Party mode.

The Mario Party series, you either love it or you don't. Personally, I find it a very enjoyable series, with a lot of varied mini-games. However, I think Mario Party 8 is slightly less than its predecessors. But that doesn't mean it's not a fun game, it definitely gets a well-deserved 8 from me :)

Latest game from Hudsonsoft is a success
Mario Party 8 is in my opinion the best of the Wii (U) games because you're not all in one vehicle. After everyone has had a turn, a new mini-game begins.
Not every map has 2 boss battles. You can fight Bowser if you win all 6 maps in the Star Battle Arena and you'll receive Blooper or Hammer Bro.
Personally, I find Shy Guy Perplex Express the most enjoyable. This is Hudsonsoft's final game, and they've wrapped it up nicely!

Amazing Party Game!
What an amazing party game this is! Mario Party 8 is without a doubt my favorite party game on the Nintendo Wii. There is just so much to do and so many minigames, you simply can't get enough.

But let's start with the party boards. There are 6 party boards, one of which needs to be unlocked. Some are more creative than others, but that's certainly not a drawback. The goal in the party mode is essentially like playing snakes and ladders, only much more unfair. Each round, one of your friends will inevitably get wrecked by another, and it's hilarious. You also play a minigame every round, as always.

Now, the minigames, of which there are a total of 65. They are super fun and you can play them individually, but also combined with an extra game mode.

Then we have the Fun Bazaar. There you can purchase extra minigames or game modes. How does the purchasing system work? It's simple: every time you play a party board, you earn tickets and with those tickets, you buy those extra minigames and game modes. It's a fun way to reward yourself for all those hours of playing.

Lastly, we have the extra modes. There you can play special minigames that you can't just play anywhere else. A good example is Moped Mayhem, a minigame where you race against 50 computers. And with a variety of 3 race tracks. This is super fun to unlock and these kinds of extras truly make a game outstanding.

As you can tell, Mario Party 8 is a fun party game to play on the Nintendo Wii. Looking for a good party game? Look no further, because this is truly one of the best you can get. But let's say Mario isn't really your thing, then I can also highly recommend getting Wii Party. It's a bit more standard and easy for everyone to understand.

A great game for some fun with friends!
Mario Party 8 is a fantastic game to play with friends. You can play with Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Wario, Daisy, Waluigi, Toad, Boo, Toadette, Birdo, Dry Bones, and two secret characters you need to unlock. Those are Blooper and Hammer Bro. The game offers 6 different and unique boards to choose from. Personally, I find most boards a bit dull and linear. However, I think Koopa's Tycoon Town is the best in the whole series. In this board, you have to earn stars by investing coins in hotels. The more coins you put in, the bigger the hotel becomes, and you earn more stars. But your friends can take over the hotel if they invest more coins than you. It's a refreshing change from the usual boards, and I really enjoy it. Additionally, the mini-games are great and vary nicely between 4 players each for themselves, 3 vs. 1, and 2 vs. 2. There's also a shop in the game where you can exchange tickets for new mini-games, among other things. You can win tickets by playing the game a lot. You can also buy collectibles that are not really useful but are necessary to complete the game 100%.
I grew up with this game and consider it one of the best Mario Party games.

I think it's a fun game, but you do need to have patience because if you want to throw 50 times, it really takes too long. I do find it very enjoyable myself because you can unlock all sorts of things. Once you start, time flies by quickly because before you know it, I've spent 3 hours on the Wii.

Amazing game!
I'm not the biggest fan of Mario Party 8, because the computers always seem to have an extreme amount of luck, causing you to lose often. The mini-games are a lot of fun, but the boards are just okay.
However, there is one fantastic and legendary board, called Koopa's Tycoon Town. Here, you have to buy hotels for coins and can upgrade them for more stars. This is where you can outsmart the AI and have very entertaining long matches!

One of the most enjoyable Mario Party games!
Mario Party 8 is probably one of my favorite Mario Party games. The game offers numerous mini-games, boards, and game modes, providing hours of entertainment. It's perfect for playing with friends and family, and can bring lots of laughter and fun.

When you have completed "Bowser Warped Orbit" in the "Star Battle Arena," you have to fight against Bowser. They say you have to spin around with your controller, but you don't even have to! In the minigame "Cardiators" in Mario Party 8, take a closer look! The game wants you to completely "play out" each other by picking a card with something on it from other Mario games that is harmful to you. For example, if you draw a card with Bob-Omb on it, the other player will have a Bob-Omb thrown into their hands and then it explodes. Turns out there are Miis in the audience laughing about it! So, you might even see "yourself" watching at times!
