When I was playing Madagascar Kartz, I was actually expecting a fun game, but I was wrong. It was too easy and after unlocking everything, there isn't much left to do.
If you're really looking for a fun racing game, I advise against Madagascar Kartz; you'd be better off with Mario Kart.

Better than other kart games
This is actually a very fun game, it's more enjoyable than many other kart games. The fun thing about this game is that you can drive through all the familiar locations of Madagascar, you can go to the zoo where they came from in the beginning or to the plane where they crashed, and much more. And the best thing about THIS Madagascar Kartz is that with the Wii you get a steering wheel (with some), which is not the case with those rushed PlayStation and Xbox 360 games...

Great game for the little ones.
This is a great game for kids aged 6 to 10. It's similar to Mario Kart, but a bit easier. And if you want to play it yourself, you can set the COM level to difficult. Another advantage is that it's completely in Dutch. You don't see this often with (slightly older) Wii games. The game is filled with fun music from the movie, and of course, the most famous song by King Julien. There are also many characters and cars to unlock. This is quite simple, which is great for younger gamers. The multiplayer mode is also fun. My little brother and the neighbor's kid really enjoy playing against each other a lot. They are 8 and 7 years old and they are really good at this game. Another plus is the controls. You can steer with the green Madagascar steering wheel (which unfortunately is not included with MarioWii, sometimes sold separately) or with the Wii Wheel or just any other steering wheel. This makes the game accessible to everyone, and the little ones absolutely love it!

More kart games, less fun
Although many kart games have been released in recent years, few have lived up to the famous Mario Kart level.

This is very evident here as well: although there is a clear attempt to give Madagascar Kartz a unique twist, it is quite obvious where the creators drew their inspiration from, and that the desired result was never achieved here either. So, it's enjoyable but certainly not great.

Not what it seems
My first impression was: Wow, this is not good. I have a lot of racing experience (Mario Kart) and this game seemed like a fun one, because hey!, familiar characters in a racing game with cool tracks and race cars, awesome! But this game is not as good and fun as it seems. I found the controls a bit sluggish and it quickly becomes boring. I also think the race tracks are quite simple and the multiplayer isn't enjoyable enough. In short, back to Mario Kart Wii it is then.

Pretty funny game, quite repetitive but worth buying. Fun characters, and well-designed levels. Madagascar Kartz is more of a game for beginners, so it's very easy, and a bit childish too.

Less of a racing game compared to other racing games!
Madagascar Kartz is actually quite a fun racing game! It's exactly the same as the DS version. There are some cool characters in this game.
But it's not recommended if you're looking for a really fun and extensive racing game! If you want a very extensive racing game, then opt for Mario Kart Wii and/or Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing instead!

Great for the younger generation.
Madagascar Kartz is truly a game for children under 10/11 years old. It's a bit like Mario Kart, but with a ' Madagascar' twist. The game isn't as challenging as you might be used to with Mario Kart. It's quite easy to complete. That could be seen as a downside compared to other racing games. However, it does have a charming appeal. Perfect for the younger generation among us.

Not good, not bad
Madagascar Kartz is definitely not better than the Mario Kart games, but it is better than other racing games. You get to know the characters very well here because they all come from Dreamworks movies. However, the game is not completely great because there is another racing game with even more characters like Shrek and Monsters vs Aliens, that is Super Star Kartz and that one is more fun than Madagascar Kartz. By the way, this game is more enjoyable with the wii wheel because it gives a nice feeling during the racing games.

Just like in Mario Kart Wii, you can also use a starting boost in Madagascar Kartz. You can do this by pressing the 1-button when the screen displays 'Move it!'. This will make you go much faster at the beginning of the race compared to the others, giving you a significant lead!
