Tips and secrets, cheats and codes
3 tips: 3 Personal tipsPersonal tip:
How can I effectively fight in the game George of the Jungle?
- Trick spear-carrying enemies by walking away. They'll turn around. Attack them from behind at that moment. (Wow, that's sneaky... (ed.)).
- Approach spear-throwing enemies by jumping. That way, they'll aim high. Walk up to them and knock them down.
- Deal with end bosses most effectively by using a combo (3 hits). Except for the final boss in George of the Jungle: when you get the fist, you have to hit it 4 times! Then his head drops down, and you can attack it. (Isn't this game for ages 3 and up?? (ed.))
Personal tip:
How can I earn extra lives in George of the Jungle?
The developers made a wrong choice: It remembers the score and the number of lives after you have completed a level. That sounds logical, but it isn't. If you only have 1 life left after a difficult end boss, that's your starting point for the new level. So far, nothing out of the ordinary. But if you get a game over and want to start again, you start again with... 1 life! And that is quite odd, especially when you enter the challenging level 8 after the difficult end boss of level 7.
Solution: Race with Shep in level 3 to collect 50 coins (= extra life) and lose all your lives in level 4. George of the Jungle now remembers the score and number of lives after level 3. Do this about 10 times (booooring, but effective) and you can face the difficult end bosses with more lives.
Personal tip:
How can George get stuck in level 1 of George of the Jungle?
In level 1 of George of the Jungle, George needs to duck for a coin. If you don't, that hero will be stuck like a sitting duck! I actually turned off the game myself and started over. (and left the coin untouched the 2nd time)
Solution: To break free, George needs to roll by shaking the nunchuck to the right and he's free. You actually learn this technique in a later level! Makes sense, right?!
