Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn - Nintendo Wii
Fire Emblem for the Wii makes hardly any use of the capabilities of the Wii. What remains is a challenging, long game with a very intriguing plot. Professional assessment: 8.0 - Read the review!

ImagesNext to Ike (pictured here), there are many more characters who will come to your aid in the game. The graphics are hardly better than Fire Emblem on the Gamecube, but thankfully it's clear and easy to follow. The game does not utilize aiming with the Wii-mote, which feels very outdated. You fight in a way that resembles chess, taking turns to move.

Reviews Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn 12 reviews - average rating 8,0Must have! Radiant Dawn is a must-have Wii game for strategy enthusiasts.
The well-known and exceptionally strong strategic gameplay is nicely expanded with elements like the advantage of higher ground, while switching between 4 different factions ensures that the story doesn't get boring.
Unfortunately, the game does have quite a few significant drawbacks. For instance, little effort has been put into the support system. You no longer get separate conversations between characters with background information, but rather brief encouragements. This is very unfortunate as the support conversations always worked wonders for character development.
The graphics are also disappointing, although it should be noted that this was originally a Gamecube game and was turned into a Wii game at the last minute.
The biggest downside is undoubtedly the very inconsistent difficulty level. The first faction and their missions are undoubtedly the toughest in the game, while later missions often fluctuate between easy and difficult.
The game is an improvement on Path of Radiance, but unfortunately, it doesn't quite reach the sky-high standard set by Fire Emblem 7.Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn Cijfer:

Depth and Permanent Death Make Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn Unique Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn is a solid game. It is a game with depth, stemming from the fact that every character that dies truly dies and will never come back. Additionally, each character can transform and there are a lot of skills that can make a character even better. As a commander, you have to take into account various factors.
Other opinions here on MarioWii claim that Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn has a mediocre story: that's not true! This story has more depth than all Mario games combined. Each character has their own background story and unique traits. Throughout the game, more information is gradually added to that. By the end, you know exactly what happened and why. Of course, you must have extensively played the GameCube part Path of Radiance to understand it. Furthermore, the story only gets more exciting as you play the game more, and by that I mean completing it more times.
The Wii Remote features are not extensive, but that is not important for a game like Fire Emblem. That's why the graphics are minimal, although the cutscenes look really perfect. Cijfer:

Good, but the difficulty level is too high Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn is a fun strategy game with a wide variety of characters to control. Each character has their own class, such as mage, warrior, rogue, and so on. The story in the game is conveyed through text, without any videos.
The game also offers different difficulty levels, adding some replay value. As you play the game, you'll quickly realize that it's quite challenging, especially towards the end where it can seem impossible, but it remains an enjoyable game to play. Cijfer:

Great graphics, but disappointing story and difficulty level I've played almost all Fire Emblem games, so when I bought Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, I thought it was going to be a great game with a good story. However, as I started playing, I found it quite difficult after a while...
The story wasn't that great, which is normally a hallmark of the series. The graphics were nice, as it's played in 3D, but this was already the case on the Gamecube. Cijfer:

Too difficult and frustrating for casual players Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn is a strategy game. In the game, you play on a landscape divided into squares. You have multiple troops that you recruit more of as you progress. You take turns moving your characters to attack, open chests, or heal, but be careful, if someone dies, they're gone for good! I bought the game because I really enjoyed Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance for the GameCube. However, this game is a step back. It's actually too difficult, making it frustrating to play. The story is weak (Fire Emblem games usually have interesting stories), and they could have added more interesting features like Wii-mote controls (now you can only use the classic controller and GameCube controller).
Unless you're a hardcore Fire Emblem fan, I wouldn't really recommend this. Cijfer:

Late Bloomer A game that, in my opinion, is particularly underestimated in the West. Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn is designed to strategically and tactically make your way to your ultimate goal.
Unlike its predecessor on the Cube, this game has multiple storylines that eventually intertwine, which, in my opinion, is very well executed. As a newcomer, you'll need some patience, especially in the beginning. The game is at its toughest at the start and can be quite confusing if you're not familiar with the story of Path of Radiance, which, in my opinion, was a somewhat easier game. So, a little tip: Start with the predecessor.
As I progressed in the game, I actually started to enjoy it more. The story became clearer and more beautiful, and the maps became more diverse. The goal is to grasp the basics of the game, especially the tactical aspect and the battle system. The graphics in this game are generally mediocre for the Wii, but the game itself certainly makes up for it until the end and beyond! As for the music, it's full of beautiful compositions and nostalgia. Read more...
Buy the game if you're a fan of tactical/strategic RPGs, but keep in mind that the beauty of this game truly emerges later on. For me, though, the wait was worth it!

Soldiers take on leaders This game takes place 3 years after King Ashnard died. After his death, the residents received little money and fighters started to take on the leaders of the country.
On the Wii, you take control of this group and must guide them. These men try to defeat the leaders and find a new king. Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn is a bit strange though because you cannot aim. Cijfer:

Great game
A wonderfully long game. You have many different characters to play with. Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn may not have the most stunning graphics, but it's not the worst either. However, if you enjoy strategy games, this is a really nice game. Cijfer:

Original Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn is a really fun game. It's not like many other games nowadays that are just mindlessly shooting and slashing. In this game, you really have to think about what you're doing and everything has consequences. It's a very original game and you won't easily find a better game of this kind. It is a bit on the expensive side but I think it's worth it. Cijfer:

If you're into strategy games... ...Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn is the title that should not be missing from your collection. I think the game is really good and I do not agree with the label of a simple story. The story is quite complex so that doesn't fit. However, the game is super fun to play! Cijfer:

Personal tip: How can I use my Path of Radiance save file in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn on the Wii? You know that Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn is the sequel to the GameCube game Path of Radiance. If you've completed the GameCube game, insert the memory card with the save file into the Wii. This way, you'll send all your characters to Radiant Dawn!
All the characters you'll encounter from Path of Radiance (including Ike, Voike, etc.) have the same stats as in the GameCube save file. Much stronger than if you encounter them automatically. And if you have max stats on certain characters, they'll receive a bonus of 2 points and even 5 points for HP. This way, you can create a top team in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. Personal tip: How can I quickly train my characters with boss abuse in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn? Here's a way to quickly train your characters in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn.
First, make sure the boss has no weapons by using a strong character as a meat shield until the boss's weapon breaks and they become helpless. Then, attack with a weak character to gain a lot of exp. Since the boss usually sits on a throne and regenerates health, you can do this infinitely. This way, you'll end up with really strong characters from one level. Just be careful not to accidentally defeat the boss :p Read more tips and secrets.Secrets: How can I earn bonus exp in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn? Retrogast | | 6421 |
Try to complete each level of Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn as efficiently and quickly as possible. Check if there are any special things in the level, as this will earn you bonus exp. In each level, you can earn bonus exp by completing it in as few turns as possible, leaving certain enemies alive, and so on.
Bonus exp is very useful. With this exp, you can train weaker characters without having them engage in battles. Furthermore, you can also determine if the stats the character receives upon leveling up are satisfactory. If you're not satisfied, you can simply reset the console and try again. This is also useful for creating extremely powerful characters. Secrets: How do I unlock the unlockables in Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn? Secrets: How can you have a super strong Sothe right from the start? Retrogast | | 6421 |
What you need: the game Fire Emblem Path of Radiance, a Memory Card, and a GameCube controller. Make sure you have at least 4000 bonus exp left at the end of the game for the final level. Sothe is really difficult to train. Feed this exp to Sothe, who is still a child in Fire Emblem Path of Radiance. Level him up to 20, but make sure to use the soft reset to get him good stats. This will be easy because Sothe has the Skil Blossom. He may use more bonus exp, but his stats have a higher % chance of increasing. In Path of Radiance, Sothe cannot promote yet, which they probably did on purpose for the sequel.
When you start Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, you'll have a super strong Sothe with incredibly high stats because you've already trained Sothe in Path of Radiance. Secrets: How does hard mode and soft reset work in this game? Retrogast | | 6421 |
As some may already know, the beloved soft reset feature in this game is gone (every Fire Emblem game used to have this) -_-. But no worries, something else has been put in its place. When playing on hard mode, you can save at almost any moment. You can also save on a different file, etc. You actually have a lot more save files than 3 when playing on hard mode.
This allows you to create really strong characters and avoid failed level ups. Every time before one of your characters levels up, save. And if the stats turn out bad, just go back to the previous file and start again immediately. This way, you can keep going until you get good stats. You can also use this if you make a wrong move, etc. Personal tip: Can walking units avoid pitfalls if a flying unit is on top of them? Bramd de Groot | | 25454 | | 16 jaar |
