Dubious controls, otherwise a good movie-based game
From previous reviews, it's clear that I'm not a big fan of movie-based games: in general, they seem too rushed and unfinished, leaving significant flaws visible.

However, Cars brought a breath of fresh air to this perception, as for the first time in a long while, I encountered a movie-based game that actually looked good: great graphics, well-crafted car models, and the soundtrack is pretty decent too.

The only downside is how easy this game is to play (even on "hard," it's a breeze to finish), but it's the controls that are a point of concern: due to the motion controls and the numerous bugs and glitches, you'll often unintentionally spin out of control...

Doesn't Resemble the Movie
The game consists of a Story and a Minigame Mode. In the story mode, you drive in an area, for example Radiator Springs. Here you have to collect points. Once you have enough points, the missions (minigames) will soon appear. If you complete all of these, you will move on to the next area. After completing all areas, you should have 100% completion.

It's also fun if you have the Wii Wheel. This can be very useful for this game. But there are also steering wheels with the Cars theme. You can also win new cars and paint them in different colors.

Conclusion: good graphics, enjoyable music, boring story.

Whenever I'm with my little nephew, he always wants to play Cars with me because he thinks it's a fun game. I also think it's well made because it's clear and easy to read for children who are not yet very good at reading. The tracks are clear, and the cars look real.

Recommended for little ones.
I've had this game for a long time. I got it when I was 7. I thought Cars was a very fun game back then, but now I'm 12 and I don't find it very exciting anymore. It's nice that you can not only race but also explore the area. So, I would only recommend this game for little ones and fans of the movie.

This game is cool, but also kind of boring.
Cars is a fun game to play by yourself. The story isn't well put together, because what are you supposed to do when you can drive freely? But playing together isn't that much fun. Whether alone or together, you can race for the Piston Cup trophy. Winning with the characters, and performing cool tricks (like jumping), the bonus points are quite enjoyable. However, it's not like the digger (1500 bonus points) is the best, but it is the coolest. So, this game is a bit of a mixed bag.

Another Disney hit
I'm a huge Disney fan, so I thought, let's try out Cars. I'm not really into racing games, but this one didn't seem to be all about that, so I was already happy about that. The missions are fun, and it has a funny storyline. The graphics are average compared to other racing games, but it's still very enjoyable!

Best movie game ever made!
Out of all the movies that have been turned into video games, this is definitely the best one! The storyline is closely connected to the actual film, the graphics are great, and the mini-games are well thought out. If you're a Pixar fan, you must have Cars!

Disappointing
Cars was a bit disappointing. My little brother loves it, but I don't see the appeal. You have to play adventure mode first before you can unlock levels to race. You start with 3 levels to race and then you have to unlock the rest.

Suitable for fans of the movie, but races can be monotonous.
Cars for the Nintendo Wii is a fun game, especially if you're a fan of the movie. The story mode features races that you'll recognize from the film, which I found to be a nice touch. However, after a while, the races can become a bit monotonous and less exciting.

Some mini-games didn't work properly, which can be quite frustrating. The multiplayer mode isn't very strong either, making it less enjoyable to play with friends. Nonetheless, as a racing game, it's decent, but there are better racing games available.
