Call of Duty 3 is a mediocre World War II shooter. The missions are quite fun and varied; for instance, you can sometimes drive tanks. Unfortunately, the graphics are not very impressive, but the sound, on the other hand, is good. However, this shooter doesn't stand out above average because it lacks one important feature, namely multiplayer. It would have been much more enjoyable if it had an online mode. Cijfer:

Maybe it's because I played Call of Duty 3 without a gun, or because I never play shooters, but I found it very difficult! I found the controls very tricky, and sometimes didn't quite understand the mission's objective (Accidentally killed a few guys from my own team... Oops).
What I liked was being able to drive jeeps, and how extensive the game was. It's like walking around in a movie, that's how realistic it is! Cijfer:

There have been quite a few Call of Duty games released. Compared to the PS3, Xbox, and PC, it hasn't been as successful on the Wii, but it's still a pretty good game for the Wii series. Of course, there are better ones, like Call of Duty 3 and soon BOII. However, this game is still enjoyable. The story is good, and it features many weapons that you don't see in the newer CODs. That's why it can still be fun to dust off this game and play it for a bit. Cijfer:

Another WWII shooter. You would think it would be enough by now, but no. Call of Duty 3 is somewhat enjoyable, but it falls far short of the other shooters and its predecessors. The graphics are decent and the guns are once again standard.
The lack of multiplayer is not an issue for me at all because who would actually play this online on the Wii? Cijfer:

Not a must-have, but a game that is worth the price (now)
Call of Duty 3 is a decent game, but it lacks enough weapons for multiplayer. However, playing online makes it much more enjoyable, provided you have some skill.
I also find the storyline hard to follow.

Great game
Quite a fun game for the Wii. It has a theme reminiscent of the Second World War. There are plenty of different missions to keep you occupied for a decent amount of time. In my opinion, the controls could have been better, but that doesn't take away from Call of Duty 3 being a great game. Cijfer:

Call of Duty 3 is a fun game, but the controls aren't very convenient for the Wii. So if you want a really good Call of Duty game on the Wii, then buy Call of Duty Black Ops or Call of Duty Modern Warfare. Cijfer:

Fun COD game
Fun Call of Duty 3 game in the style of World War II.
Great shooting against the Germans with the best controls out there and the best graphics.

Difficult
The true COD fan prefers to play these games on the PS2/3 or XBOX360. The gameplay is a lot better on these platforms. The controls are easier to master, making the game a lot easier. There are some fun parts, a few missions, but overall Call of Duty 3 looks cheap and simple. A shame about the online mode, but I don't really miss it. Cijfer:

A few downsides
I think Call of Duty 3 is a fun game. It's very enjoyable to play turn-based or together, the missions are very entertaining, and the game runs smoothly. The controls can be a bit tricky at times, which is a shame. Additionally, the graphics are not as good as in Black Ops, which is also a downside. Cijfer:

All-time Favorite with Dated Graphics, yet Strong Storyline
Call of Duty 3 on the Nintendo Wii is an all-time favorite of mine. I've been playing this game every year since I was 12 with great pleasure. In 2024, the graphics are naturally a bit dated, but that doesn't take away from the storyline. The story remains captivating and engaging, even after all these years.
The controls on the Wii can be a bit tricky at first, especially if you're used to the modern Call of Duty games on PC, PlayStation, or Xbox. But after a short period of adjustment, I noticed that the controls are much more interactive than on the other consoles. The motion controls really add something to the experience.
What makes this game so special to me is the combination of a strong storyline and the unique controls. Despite the outdated graphics, Call of Duty 3 on the Wii remains a fantastic experience. How to easily complete the Night Drop mission: When facing off against the French rebels, you'll have the choice to go left towards the Flak 88s or to the house on the right.
Head left towards the guns. Take out all the Nazis around the gun and in the ditch leading to the next gun.
Then blow up the 88 and continue on to the rest of the guns.
After destroying all the guns, you will reach the house that you would have encountered if you had gone right.
Upon entering the house, you'll need to defeat a Nazi waiting for you there. Eliminate all enemies in the house and fall through the burning floor. You'll see your allies waiting for you there.
