Original and fun game
Bonsai Barber is a very original and fun game that makes use of the Wii controls. In this game, you cut the hair of various vegetables and fruits. There are many hairstyles, both simple and intricate, and you can also color them. To get started, you have various tools such as scissors and clippers. There is also a handy logbook in the game that keeps track of who your customers are, which hairstyles you have cut, and what prices you have received. The graphics are simple but very beautiful and fit perfectly with this game. The game is too limited to be a full-fledged Wii game, but as a Wiiware game, it is very enjoyable and definitely recommended.

Very poor
I find Bonsai Barber quite unoriginal. It's too ordinary, too simple, and the vegetable characters look terrible. This Wii Ware is not worth it, those vegetables will literally make you sick and the graphics don't look good either.

Product Description

Hello there, Fantastic gamers! I'm Mr. M, your cheerful little coin with legs and arms, and I'm here to tell you all about a unique and hilarious game called Bonsai Barber for the Nintendo Wii!

In Bonsai Barber, you step into the shoes of a professional bonsai tree barber! Yes, you read that right! Your task is to create the most beautiful hairstyles for a cute cast of vegetables and fruits, such as a tomato, a strawberry, and even an ear of corn. The gameplay is super fun and intuitive; you use the Wii Remote as your scissors, clippers, and other tools to trim and style the plants. Fantastic, isn't it?

This game is developed by Zoonami, a studio founded by Martin Hollis, one of the masterminds behind the legendary game GoldenEye 007. It's a game centered around creativity and precision, guaranteed to bring a smile to your face with its charming characters and humorous dialogues.

Historical Context

Bonsai Barber was released in 2009 and was one of the first WiiWare titles to truly leverage the capabilities of the Wii Remote. Although it wasn't a mainstream hit, it has gained a cult status thanks to its unique concept and charming presentation. It's a perfect game for anyone seeking something different from the usual action and adventure titles.

Yoshi would welcome the customers with his charming smile, while Luma, with her magical powers, creates the perfect hairstyles. And me? I would hop around, cheering everyone on and ensuring everyone has a Fantastic time! Wowie, what an adventure that would be!
