Unique and challenging dungeon-crawler for enthusiasts
Baroque is a very peculiar game. You are thrown into the game without a clue of what's going on and what you should do. I find it quite interesting and original. The game is full of strange characters and has only one gigantic random dungeon. Fighting in the dungeon is quite fun, but very difficult. You have limited space for items and if you die, you start all over again, really from scratch, back to level 1.
There is some cool music in the dungeon and everything looks fairly decent. The story is also peculiar, you have to start over again and again. The game is only recommended for dungeon-crawler enthusiasts or for people with not much to do who enjoy a quirky RPG.

Baroque is an RPG without real objectives and lacks a clear storyline.

First of all, Baroque lacks a real introduction or storyline that clearly indicates what you need to do and what it's all about, to say the least, "vague."
Baroque is an RPG, so you play as a specific character named "The Protagonist."
This RPG is also a dungeon crawler, which means you have to descend deeper into a dungeon, or in this RPG's case, a tower.

Challenging and mysterious, a must-try for every RPG/Rogue-like fan.
Amazing game, very unique and quite challenging in the beginning; you will quickly realize that dying isn't the worst thing while playing the game.

This isn't a game where you can permanently improve everything; the most important thing for this game is for you as a player to get better.

Sometimes you can send items and weapons back to the "outer world" (starting location) via special 'Orbs', so at times you can get your old items back (up to 5 maximum).

The story is a mystery, and it's up to you to piece together all the small bits and fragments; the game has multiple different endings.

The game rewards players who explore a lot on a level; sometimes you can get short clips by entering a specific room.

If you enjoy RPGs or Rogue-Likes, you will also enjoy Baroque.

Product Description

Wowie! Are you ready for a dark and immersive adventure? Then Baroque is the game for you! This Fantastic action RPG, developed by Sting Entertainment, takes you to a post-apocalyptic world full of mystery and danger. You play as a nameless hero who must navigate through a tower filled with grotesque enemies and challenging puzzles. The gameplay is roguelike, meaning each time you play, the tower and its challenges change. This ensures you never have the same experience, and that makes me super cheerful!

Historical Context

Baroque was originally released in 1998 for the Sega Saturn and later ported to the PlayStation. The Wii version we offer is a remake released in 2008. This version received enhanced graphics and adjusted gameplay mechanics to make the experience even better. Despite Baroque never becoming a mainstream hit, it has a loyal fan base that appreciates the unique atmosphere and challenging gameplay. Fantastic, isn't it?
