Many possibilities and online gameplay make it superb! This game is superb, really. You might be thinking as a hardcore gamer, what am I supposed to do with THIS now? But believe it or not, I've gotten many hardcore gamers hooked on this game. It's just superb! Many possibilities, etc. Of course, this game is secretly a bit casual, but hey, what does that matter sometimes? Mario Kart Wii is too, but you don't hear anyone complaining.
The game is called Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City, and I find this disappointing. I don't think the extra "city" really adds value to the game. That's why it could have been given a different title. But the online gameplay + Wii Speak make up for that completely!Animal Crossing: Let’s Go to the City Cijfer:

This game is truly a must-have for your Wii This game is a must-have for any Wii.
The strength of this game lies in the elements that Animal Crossing: Let’s Go to the City has to offer, allowing you to carve your own path in the game. Do you want a big house and lots of money? You can have that. But perhaps you prefer not a big house, but a whole museum filled with rare fish? That's possible too!
In the game, you start off as a traveler, moving into a new village where you still need to tell the name to your taxi driver! Then you are taken to your village, and that's where your adventure begins! In the first few minutes, you already get to meet your quirky neighbors, who happen to all be animals, but they already seem to like you.
Not long after, you get a visit from Tom Nook, a merchant who can help you get a house. You even get to choose where you want your house to be. However, you do have to work for Tom Nook for a bit and get to know your fellow villagers better.
As you progress in the game, you will also learn how everything works. You can buy a fishing rod and catch fish to earn money. Bringing these fish to the museum also helps prevent them from becoming rare, and the same goes for insects that you can catch with your butterfly net.
The villagers will ask you for greetings and nicknames during the game. They will also give you furniture to spruce up your house a bit.
This game also follows the seasons! Each season brings different fish, insects, and holidays. This keeps you engaged and playing.Animal Crossing: Let’s Go to the City Cijfer:

New additions and classic elements make Animal Crossing: Let’s Go to the City a must-have! Animal Crossing: Let’s Go to the City combines all the familiar elements with exciting new additions! You have the regular village with staple characters like Tom Nook and Tortimer. As always, you start by completing tasks for Tom Nook to get to know the village. After that, you can choose what to do: make friends with the residents, catch fish and insects, or visit the city. The city is a new feature with additional shops and characters. You can play this game with up to four people, but not simultaneously. Each character has their own house, so you don’t have to share with others. This is very convenient when playing with multiple people who have different tastes. One downside for me was that you can no longer collect photos. In the DS version, you would receive photos of villagers once you became close enough friends with them, which was always fun to collect. After a while, you might get bored of the game since it lacks a real objective, but if you aim to collect everything, you will be busy for a very long time, so it remains enjoyable. Overall, a fun game, definitely worth buying if you enjoyed the previous Animal Crossing games. Also recommended for fans of games like Harvest Moon and The Sims.Animal Crossing: Let’s Go to the City Cijfer:

Versatile gameplay and socially interactive with friends This is really a fun little game. Just aimlessly walking around, catching fish, catching insects, and planting fruit. And yet it's really a fun game to play. It's also nice that you can play together with friends. When you visit each other, you can also talk to each other with Wii Speak. You have to make your house bigger and bigger by paying money to Nook. It's also nice that extra attention is paid to holidays, with Easter, Christmas, and New Year's Eve where you can do different things than usual. There are also flea markets, where you can go into the houses of other residents of your town and buy stuff from them. There are also fishing and insect tournaments, where the goal is to catch the biggest fish or insect. If you succeed, you get a trophy that you can put in your house. So, a very fun game with plenty to do!Animal Crossing: Let’s Go to the City Cijfer:

Fun simulator with lots to do! Animal Crossing is a cheerful simulator with tons of activities. The sense of progression and achievement every time you earn bells is hard to find elsewhere. The newly added city is also enjoyable.
A true Wii gem, but adds little if you've already played Animal Crossing: Wild World for the Nintendo DS.Animal Crossing: Let’s Go to the City Cijfer:
8,4A trusted Animal Crossing game with the City as a major addition! Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City brings the beloved life simulation of Animal Crossing to the Wii. The game maintains the charming and relaxing gameplay that characterizes the series. You settle in a virtual village, interact with anthropomorphic animal villagers, and carry out various tasks such as fishing, catching insects, and discovering fossils.
The addition of the city brings a new element, where you can shop, attend events, and engage in new activities. The Wii Remote and Nunchuk are well integrated, making the controls feel intuitive. Read more...
The graphical style maintains the cute aesthetic of previous installments and is enhanced by the transition to the Wii. While the game stays true to its core formula, it may evoke a sense of repetition for those familiar with the previous titles.
Overall, Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City is an enjoyable experience for fans of the series, with its distinctive charm and gameplay additions. New players will delight in the unique and relaxing world of Animal Crossing. Hide. Animal Crossing: Let’s Go to the City Cijfer:

Wonderfully relaxing atmosphere and plenty of activities Animal Crossing: Let’s Go to the City is a fun game. It doesn't really have a storyline; you actually come up with your own cool story. There's always something to do. You can go fishing, catch insects, or just enjoy shopping. The graphics of the game aren't amazing, but you quickly stop noticing. The game has a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere.Animal Crossing: Let’s Go to the City Cijfer:

Too Much Repetition in Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City Animal Crossing is a kind of life simulator (not entirely, of course). In the game, you are stuck with a house and to pay off that house's mortgage, you have to do various chores like fishing, catching insects, and other things to earn shells (the currency in Animal Crossing: Let’s Go to the City). But while doing that, you can buy things for yourself like clothes, house expansions, and furniture. The game was fun for a while, but not for me. The game repeats itself too much.Animal Crossing: Let’s Go to the City Cijfer:

Very fun game! Animal Crossing: Let’s Go to the City is a fun game for both kids and adults! You get to choose a house, which you have to pay off to someone in the big building in your village where you can also send mail. The goal is to make friends with the animal villagers in the village and complete your collections of insects, fish, and fossils.
When you catch an animal with your net or fishing rod, you can show it to the owl in the museum and donate it. As you explore further into the museum, you can see which animals you've already collected. Occasionally, you'll see a star depicted on the ground. If you dig there with your shovel, you'll uncover a fossil or dinosaur bone. These items are worth a lot of money if you sell them, but you can also have them displayed and donate them to the museum. There's a room in the back where you can see your bones on display.
Additionally, you need to talk to the villagers in your village. Sometimes they'll give you tasks, and if you complete them, you'll receive a gift from them.Animal Crossing: Let’s Go to the City Cijfer:

Unique! Animal Crossing is timeless and unique: there's really no other game to compare with the Animal Crossing series.
This game is wonderfully relaxing to play. You can endlessly wander around in your own village, dig for fossils, catch fish and insects, shop in the city, and much more for you to discover on your own! There's something fun for everyone to do.
This game is suitable for all ages, but perhaps less suitable for the youngest gamers, as the game (unfortunately) is entirely in English.Animal Crossing: Let’s Go to the City Cijfer:

Welcome to the animal village! Animal Crossing for the Wii is a highly addictive life simulator. You build a life in a village full of cute animal friends.
In Animal Crossing, you can collect items, fish, dig up fossils, and catch insects. New in this part is that you can go to the big city. In the city, there are all kinds of fun activities to do, for example, you can buy art or choose a different hairstyle.
Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City doesn't have particularly beautiful graphics and doesn't offer a lot of action. However, if you're looking for a relaxing game where you can go at your own pace and where you can easily spend hundreds of hours, then Animal Crossing is definitely for you.Animal Crossing: Let’s Go to the City Cijfer:

Many more customization options than on the GameCube Animal Crossing: Let’s Go to the City is a really fun game for me where you build your own village and make friends. You can fish, catch insects, and decorate your house, which is all very relaxing.
For me, this version is a lot better than the Animal Crossing on the GameCube. There are many more customization options, like decorating your house with different furniture and customizing your character. The cheerful atmosphere of the game changes with the seasons, keeping life in your village dynamic and interesting.
One of the most enjoyable aspects of Animal Crossing: Let’s Go to the City is that you can also go to the city. Here you can discover new things and shop, which offers a nice change from village life. The graphics are cute and the music is relaxing, making it a great game to play at your own pace and get completely immersed in.Animal Crossing: Let’s Go to the City Cijfer:

Relaxing and Endless Fun in Animal Crossing Animal Crossing is a very enjoyable game. There's no real goal to it; you basically make up your own goal. There's always something to do as well. You can go fishing, catch insects, or just enjoy shopping. The game's graphics aren't amazing, but you quickly stop paying attention to that. It has a wonderfully calming atmosphere. And at the café, there's always a performance on Saturdays, which is really fun. In short, I find Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City to be an enjoyable and soothing game that offers long-lasting entertainment, as there's always something different or fun to do every day.Animal Crossing: Let’s Go to the City Cijfer:

Original game with Wii Speak integration and masks I find Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City quite original.
You can get masks (like Majora's Mask).
You can talk with your friends (with the included Wii Speak) Read more...
And much more!
You can also use the Wii Speak for the Wii Speak Channel! (which I use a lot with my friend)
The downside is that it looks a lot like the GameCube version... Hide.Animal Crossing: Let’s Go to the City Cijfer:

Plenty to do, but better on the DS
At first, I was hesitant about purchasing this game because I thought it would be the same as the DS version. I have to say, I'm quite entertained by this game, but I still prefer playing it on the DS in the form of Animal Crossing: Let’s Go to the City. One thing I have to admit is that there is so much to do that I'm still not done with it over a year after buying it!Animal Crossing: Let’s Go to the City Cijfer:

Delightful game I've always been a fan of The Sims and the Mii-verse. So, this seemed right up my alley. And it definitely is! What a game! You can lead a life on your Wii(U). There's a lot to do, you can make friends, and so much more. You can do your own thing and you're not tied to a storyline. Especially for the current price, Animal Crossing Let's Go to the City is definitely recommended!Animal Crossing: Let’s Go to the City Cijfer:

Cute A cheerful game. I've had it at home for a while and played it a lot in the beginning. Discovered this game through the Nintendo DS version of Animal Crossing. It's a fun little game for when you have nothing else to do. And the goat is cool.Animal Crossing: Let’s Go to the City Cijfer:
7,0Amazing game! Animal Crossing has always been a major title for a Nintendo console, and Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City is no exception. In the game, you quickly get tasks from other residents. There is just so much to do! Even if you play in the morning, you can catch a special fish. Animal Crossing remains one of my favorite titles. Little Innovation Compared to the GameCube Version Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City is a game that is mainly aimed at casual gamers and it actually offers little innovation compared to the GameCube version of Animal Crossing.

A super fun game! I played this game every day as a child! It features villagers to interact with, the ability to decorate your house, go shopping, explore the town, and complete the museum. Looking back, besides the events, the game didn't offer much more after the online feature of the Wii was discontinued, but I loved it. The music from the start screen brings back so many memories and really sticks in your head. Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City was fantastic, but I do miss the atmosphere and the whole concept of the old Animal Crossing games that were so characteristic of the series. The game is very similar to Animal Crossing: Wild World for the DS, so if you already have that one, it's not worth buying this one. But otherwise, it's still highly recommended!Animal Crossing: Let’s Go to the City Cijfer:
9,0A Game for Everyone with Lasting Memories Animal Crossing is a game that truly anyone can play. It may seem a bit boring and childish at first, but once you start playing, you will definitely think differently about it. The villagers in the village will slowly become your REAL friends and you will find yourself running in and out of Tom Nook's shop daily without buying anything. And of course, you can take the bus to the city and there you will encounter old acquaintances! Everyone in Animal Crossing has made progress.
But whether you have played Animal Crossing before or not, you will surely cherish memories of all your moments with your neighbors and everyone else.Animal Crossing: Let’s Go to the City Cijfer:

If you want to earn a lot of money, keep on reading.
Set the date to April 12th (Easter Sunday) in Animal Crossing: City Folk. You'll find a crazy rabbit/bunny creature near the town hall. Start digging up and opening Easter eggs. If you find a golden paper with a rabbit head on it, that's a voucher. (If you find candy, save it for Halloween.)
Take the voucher to that rabbit and in exchange, you'll receive a piece of furniture. In total, you can get around 11 of them. You can either keep them for yourself or sell them (each piece goes for 9000 bells!). Secrets: How do I find and get money from rocks in Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City on the Wii? When Tom Nook's shop has expanded for the 2nd time (to a Nook-n-Go), you will find the silver net, silver slingshot, and silver fishing rod for sale on any given day. Silver items are better than the regular ones; the silver net is slightly larger, the silver slingshot shoots 2 pellets at once, and you have a better chance of catching something with the silver fishing rod.
Nook's shop expands when you spend a lot of money (500 bells for the Nook-n-Go), so just buy everything and sell it back :P Personal tip: Why is there often a yellow bird on the board in Animal Crossing: Let’s Go to the City? Kusies | | 236 | | 15 jaar |
Often there is a yellow bird on the board where the messages are displayed in Animal Crossing: City Folk. I've now discovered that the bird only appears when there is a new message! Secrets: How does money tree planting work with the golden shovel in Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City? Once you have the golden shovel in your possession in Animal Crossing: City Folk, you can participate in a little game of money planting. You can bury bags of money to find them three days later as a tree containing three bags of the money you buried. However, you're not 100% certain if the tree actually contains those bags.
Every thousand Bells you bury provides a 1% chance of a money tree. Personal tip: How can I make loads of money in Animal Crossing by planting coconut trees on the beach? MoOnTjUhH | | 120 | | 14 jaar |

If you want to make a lot of money, you should head to the coconut trees in Animal Crossing: Let’s Go to the City during the summer nights. Personal tip: How can I get different fruit in Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City without internet? Chantal | | 95 | | 25 jaar |
I always wanted different fruit in my village but don't have internet. Now I've discovered how to get different fruit in Animal Crossing: City Folk. You can do this by sending letters to your villagers and including a piece of fruit as a gift. Every now and then, you'll receive a different piece of fruit in return. Plant it somewhere in your village (preferably in a large open space) and you'll have a new fruit tree. Another advantage of sending letters with fruit is that you always receive a gift in return. Usually, it's a piece of furniture. Personal tip: How can I expand my house in Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City? Gijs | | 270 | | 12 jaar |
If you want to expand your house in Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City, you need to head to the town hall (that building where you send letters). In the bottom left corner, you'll find an ATM. Deposit enough money there until you've paid everything. The next day, your house will be bigger! Secrets: How can I find free furniture and money in the trees? Animal Crosser | | 63 |
If you shake a tree (by pressing A when standing in front of a tree), sometimes something will fall out. Very often, there's a 100 bell coin that someone left there. Free money!! :)
But sometimes, there's even furniture in there! Each day, two trees in your village hide two items. Shake them out and you'll soon be the owner of a free piece of furniture! Personal tip: How can I quickly increase my money amount in Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City? Thorsten | | 440 | | 14 jaar |
Make sure you have at least £35,000 in your bank account.
Go to Wii settings and change the time by 30 years.
When you return to Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City, you will notice that you have received a lot of interest on your deposited money.
You can repeat this process many times until you reach the desired amount.

You can deposit money into your bank account at the town hall, where you also pay off your debt to Nook. Simply go to the deposit option. If you leave your money there long enough, let's say for 2 weeks? I'm not exactly sure how long, you'll receive a letter stating that you've earned interest. Pretty handy! Personal tip: How can I determine if a painting is real or fake at Redd's in Animal Crossing? Daniel_r | | 3225 | | 14 jaar |
To get paintings for your museum, you need to buy them from Redd in town (there are 2 paintings at Nook's shop). When you interact with the painting and Redd responds, there might be a yellow/orange star next to Redd, indicating that the painting is fake! However, be cautious: if there's no star, it could still be a forgery! Secrets: How can I get a golden axe in Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City? Merlijn | | 1032 | | 12 jaar |
Don't run and walk too much on the grass in Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City. If you do, the grass will gradually disappear. Strangely enough, snow (in the winter) only falls on grass. And with snow, you can make snowballs bigger. And with big snowballs, you can make snowmen. Successful snowmen give rare gifts. So if you run / walk on the grass, you won't get rare winter-themed gifts! Of course, you can walk on paths, which you then "walk away". I was walking through my village when I suddenly found a magical lamp (just like in Aladdin). I wasn't really sure what to do with it... Later that evening, I hopped back on the Wii, strolling along the beach when something started talking out of nowhere. I kept walking and then Wisp appeared, he had lost his lamp. Once you give him the lamp, he asks you to go upstairs (where your bed is). Then you can choose between an accessory or a piece of furniture, clearing all your weeds or getting rid of your cockroaches. (Once you've found the lamp, it only works that same evening, otherwise it's no use). Cheers! Personal tip: How can I get a song from K.K. Sometimes when you shake a tree in Animal Crossing: City Folk, money or even furniture can fall out. But don't shake the trees too often! Sometimes there might be bees in them. You might get a bump on your character. You can heal it by buying medicine at the Tom Nook Shop. Personal tip: How to avoid bees while shaking trees in Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City? Merlijn | | 1032 | | 13 jaar |
Are you a true tree shaker? Then you must be fed up with all those annoying bees that you accidentally shake out, of course! There are ways to defend yourself from their attack and one way to get healthy for free:
1. Go indoors. When you go inside, for example at Tom Nook's, the town hall, or any other house, the bees won't know and they will give up the attack.
2. Fight back with your net! If you catch the bees, you have them safely under control in your pocket. So they can't get you, even if you release them! (But you can sell a swarm of bees for 3,000 Bells so releasing them isn't that smart.)
3. If you do get stung, restart your game. What 2 minutes of sleep can do! Suddenly you're free from your inflammations!
Here's another tip: you probably already knew, but Tom Nook only sells 1 bag of medicine from Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City per day! So if you do want to take medicine, do it when you're done "bothering" the bees! ;) Personal tip: Where can I find paintings to donate to the museum in Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City? Sjammiee | | 935 | | 21 jaar |
If you're wondering where to get the paintings that you can donate to the museum in Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City...
You can buy them at Redd's in town. Just be careful, because some paintings are not genuine and the museum won't accept them. Personal tip: How can you hear Totaka's Song on the bus to the city? Merlijn | | 1032 | | 13 jaar |
This is an addition to the same topic by Bram de Groot, about how to hear Totaka's Song in Animal Crossing: City Folk.
If you let the bus driver whistle while on your way to the city (after boarding the bus, DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING), at some point you'll hear him whistle that tune too!
Please note, it only works when you're coming back from the city, so no need to wait on the way there!
(I used to have a video with it, but the YouTube owner took it down :'( but you get the idea, right?) Personal tip: How do you ensure that your room wins at the HRA? Merlijn | | 1032 | | 13 jaar |
The Happy Room Academy (HRA) evaluates your room based on the monthly requirements. Sometimes it's cute, other times it's scary. But how do you ensure that YOU win? Very simple! Create a real theme for your room (for example, Robo, just like Del) and place a few rare items in it (for example, a gold Lucky cat). Then just wait until next Sunday! I bet you'll win? (I'm putting in 10,000 Bells) Personal tip: How can you earn money with Easter and Halloween in Animal Crossing: Let’s Go to the City? Berend | | 0 | | 13 jaar |
During Easter and Halloween, you can earn a lot of money in Animal Crossing: Let’s Go to the City. For Easter, set the date to April 12, 2010, to celebrate. Grab your shovel and walk around your village; you'll see little stars on the ground indicating the presence of Easter eggs. These eggs might contain candy or a golden wrapper. Give the golden wrapper to the rabbit in front of your town hall (Zipper) and receive a piece of furniture worth around 9000 Bells.
For Halloween on October 31st, save the candy you get from the eggs for that day. Fill your pockets with candy and grab your shovel. Step outside and you'll spot a few individuals with pumpkin heads wandering around, one of them being Jack. Offer him candy and receive a piece of furniture that you can sell for 9000 Bells. The other pumpkin-headed folks also crave candy, so make sure to give it to them to avoid any mishaps. Once you've shared the candy, dig holes around each of them with your shovel; they should be completely surrounded. Repeat this for everyone except Jack, and you'll only need to find Jack without giving candy to anyone else! Personal tip: Why is Pelly's twin sister always so grumpy? Lothar | | 10 jaar |

She's always very grumpy. Personal tip: What hidden secrets are waiting to be discovered in the game Animal Crossing? Fabienne | | 296 | | 18 jaar |
In this game, there are a ton of hidden things. Here's a brief overview:
As a beginner, you should start by selling shells and fruit. This way, you can quickly buy a fishing rod and net, which will help you earn more money.
Shake the trees to get money and furniture, but watch out for the bees. If you get stung, you can buy medicine from Tom Nook for 300 bells.
Collect the candies buried in the ground on Halloween!! If you give these to the Easter Bunny, you'll receive furniture. Just before Halloween, Tom Nook also sells candies.
When collecting shells, make sure to keep the Scallop in an empty postcard. Every now and then, Pascal will be on the bridge, and if you give him the Scallop, he'll give you unique furniture.
On Friday evenings at 8 o'clock, there's live music in the museum. If you talk to the artist, they'll give you a record. You can display this in your house.
At the hairdresser in town, you can use your own Mii head for a fee.
Spend as much money as possible at Tom Nook's. If you spend enough with him, you'll get a bigger store where you'll have more item choices and can buy silver items.
If you water the plants in town for 10 days straight, you'll receive a golden watering can.
Once you've caught all the fish and insects, you'll receive a golden fishing rod and a golden butterfly net.
If you don't like certain residents, hit them with your butterfly net and ignore them. They'll eventually move out, and someone else will move in. Less tips and secrets.
